UCC27524A1-Q1: Circuit problems

Part Number: UCC27524A1-Q1

Hi team,

I have some trouble on UCC27524A1-Q1.

INA and INB are shorted and OUTA and OUTB are also shorted.

I use it on the low side, but it is often destroyed.

I use it on the high side as well, but this is fine.

I think there is a problem with the usage, but I do not know the cause of the destruction.

Could you give me advice so I will provide information offline?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hello Yoshida-san,

    Thanks for reaching out.

To accurately diagnose the root cause of the issue, i will need several additional information including the following:

    -schematic,

    -PCB layout,

-Operating conditions during failure (VDD, Fsw, MOSFET, Waveforms during normal conditions if available,)

-Failure mode (physical damage for example burnt package, OUTx short to GND, etc...).

-Any other damage on your circuit beside gate driver? Were the MOSFETs damaged? power supply? any other component?

I have sent you a friendship request where you can share the details there.

Meanwhile, I will go ahead and mark this thread as "resolved" while we work out the issues offline.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    -Mamadou

  • Hi Mamadou-san,

I sent you a private message.

    Did you have received it?

Please tell me, if you couldn't receive it.

    Best regards,

    Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hello Yoshida-san,

I have sent you an email.

I have reviewed the file and shared some recommendations based on the schematic.

Please add these suggestions in the circuit and evaluate with the gate driver and FETs turned-on to see whether there are still failures.

Please expect some delay in our response due to holidays as I will out until from Dec 23rd until Jan 14th therefore post here on this thread while I am OoO.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    -Mamadou
