in Lm5025 there is an internal regulator that provides the initial Vcc .but when converter reaches steady state it is suggested to provide vcc through a coupled inductor which will turn off the internal regulator
.If I operate it without coupled inductor providing vcc supply and keeping internal regulator on ,does that have any impact on the converter other than reduction in efficiency?
Hi Muhammed,
We recommend to use a bias VCC by an aux transformer, because if the all current of device I_in is from VCC regulator, the current may exceeds the limitation 20mA, and the power loss of the chip will be very large, calculated by I_in * (Vin * Vcc).
