BQ24075-Q1: BQ24075-Q1 charge problems

I have problems with charge, output current on battery is 0.02-0.06 A (((
switching from battery to dc work fine
have strange, in datasheet output PGOOD and CHG is open drain, but in my chips this outputs is not open drain and have voltage when I connect dc.
CHG indicator is on when battery disconnected, but in board (www.sparkfun.com/.../13777) it off when battery disconnect

I changed IC, problem still warm.

Battery is 1800 ,3.7 v in good state

Hi Andrii,

Thanks for the schematic. This may be due to VSS being connected directly to IN. It is recommended to connected VSS (ground) to the thermal pad and not the the PAD.

As for your /CHG and /PGOOD being open drain and still having a voltage output, this is mainly to sink current such as in the application of an LED indictator on those pins.

Lastly, a few questions:

- Is there a reason for R11 and R12 to be 150-Ohms? We recommend 1k-10k Ohm resistors.

- Are /PGOOD and /CHG connected to voltage rails?

Hello,

In the schematic you sent, the LEDs for /CHG and /PGOOD are not pulled up to any voltage. This will cause the both status pins to not work as intended.
