LMG1205HBEVM: Dead time circuit performance question

Part Number: LMG1205HBEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG1205, LMG1210

Hi Team,

According to Using the LMG1205HBEVM User's guide, Page 8 has the following Dead time circuit.

Do you know if this is a property or stability that can be put to practical use in a product,

or is it an evaluation level?

Any advice should be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Best regards,

Shidara

  • Hi Shidara,

Thanks for reaching out about lmg1205 on e2e.

This circuit can be used for dead time eval or proto however it is prone to temperature variation.

The dead time circuit can be fine tuned by changing the R1 and R4 resistor values. This can be challenging if soldering many different resistors.

Lmg1210 is also available. This part has internal controllable deadtime. The 1210 EVM includes deadtime potentiometers which set the deadtime on the fly without having to power cycle the part. Lmg1210 is recommended for very short deadtime control.

Please let me know if this helps answer your question.

    Thanks,
