BQ24030: BQ24030 Current goes to the OUT pins from the BAT

This can create a few issues:

• If the battery is below the VLOWV value, the system does not turn on due to insufficient voltage even if the system is sinking current.
• The battery charge rate will be lower than what is set at ILIM due to the current drawn by the system
• The battery will not terminate when the system is on. 
• The OUT will see BAT voltage as it is connected to BAT and tracks it. 

How high are you expecting the load to go? The BQ2407X family has a maximum operating condition where OUT can go up to 5A.

The load may consume 5A at 3.7V.

Hi Ahmed,

The BQ24072 is also a standalone power path charger that has a maximum operating condition that meets your 5A. This will allow you to connect your load to the OUT instead of BAT and ensure operation of the IC.

Do you have a high power charger that can boost at the same time the voltage of the OUT pin to 3.7V? I need a chip that allows dual input sources [USB + power adapter ] to charge single cell Li-ion but then to boost the OUT [Power path technology]  to 3.7V once the battery goes low and below the 3.7V level.
