LP87524P-Q1: LP87524 Preprogrammed?

Part Number: LP87524P-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA2SX, MMWCAS-RF-EVM, MMWCAS-DSP-EVM, AWR1243

We are building our own version of the AWR1243 Cascade mmWave board (MMWCAS-RF-EVM that uses 2 PMIC LP87524PRNFTQ1. I understand they are OTP and my question is about the programming. For this EVM board is that part preprogrammed from TI or is it programmed on board by the piggyback MMWCAS-DSP-EVM TDA2SX board? I can not find information on the additional suffix letters so I suspect it's custom programmed. If that is the case can the preprogrammed part be ordered from TI?

Thanks,

Ray

  • Hi Ray,

In a case of LP875x family OTP means "one time programmable" and programming is done as a part of the production flow. Devices cannot be "programmed" aka permanently change default boot up register values afterward.

After NRST set high some of the registers and can be changed like VOUT levels etc. Also some can be changed during operation too.

If you need part with different OTP settings please contact your local TI sales representative.
