TLV716P: 1.8V or 2.8V output selection

Dear Support,

I'm looking for a LDO solution such as our TLV713 (low cost and small size, 5Vin, 150mAout), but with an output voltage which could be selected (or modified) between 1.8V or 2.8V, via a µc.

- It can be an adjustable version (but the TLV713 doesn't offer this option). On that case we could modify the resistor network through the µc.

- I was also thinking of using our dual output solution with the TLV7162818, by connecting the two outputs together and playing with the enables to select 1.8V or 2.8V. But on that case it seems that the 1.8V output current can flow through the 2.8V side and vice versa. Do you confirm?

We could add some o'ring diodes, but I'm concerned about the size constraint we have, here.

Would you have any other solution?

Regards,

  • Hi TISL,

Unfortunately, the TLV761 has active pulldowns on both outputs. So if one is disabled it tries to pull down the rail.

We do have the TPS780 which has a pin selectable output but I only see a 3V/1.8V version released. We do not have a 2.8/1.8V version at this time.

For an adjustable solution, our lowest cost adjustable LDO is the TLV758.

Let me know what you think.
