Hi
Does ISO5452 support SiC? Is any special feature needed to drive SiC? Thanks.

Hi Wayne/BeiJing,
Thanks for your question.

Yes, ISO5452S can drive SiC mosfets.

SiC (& IGBT) drivers do need "special features" compared to a simplistic/barebones gate driver to drive them safely, because without them, fast switching can cause the gate voltage to bounce when turning-off, spiking gate the voltage at gate node and turning the FET erroneously-on and leads to short-circuit.
ISO5452 features integrated miller clamp, DESAT, and STO to help protect the IGBT/FET from this condition during turn-off, and negative bias on VEE is also used.
I hope this answers your question. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
Best
