Hi 

the customer asked current regulation accuracy specification if there is no Schottky diode with SW  node?

in our electrical characteristics, our current regulation is measured with Schottky diode.

And, what's the purpose of this Schottky diode?

    Hi Paul,

    The Schottky diode performs two functions:

    1. increases efficiency by minimizing the voltage the drop across the internal FET body diode during the dead time of FET turn on/off transition

    2. reduces substrate noise injection.

    Since the data was taken with the diode and we have not tested without the diode, we cannot warranty operation without the diode.
