Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
Hello,
instead of using LM3478 or LM3488 for a SEPIC DC/DC design, the use of LM5155 is recommended in a lot of posts. Is there a plan when this LM5155 SEPIC design will be available in Webench power designer?
Best regards
Ronald F.
Hi Ronald
Thanks for reaching out with your question and for considering the LM5155 in your design.
The LM5155 WEBENCH is planned but doesn't have a release date yet. In the mean time I suggest taking a look at this application note. It will help to select the values for the power train components. I can help with any questions that you might have during the design process.
Thanks,
Garrett Roecker
Hi Garret,
thank you for the quick response and for your offer for help!
I used WEBENCH as selection tool for the DCDC, as the LM5155 SEPIC is not included I missed it. :o(
The prototype design is based on LM3478, I will test also LM3488 (to avoid the Overvoltage protection problems around 7.2V). I'll see how well it goes.
Best regards
Ronald
