BQ24105-Q1: Operation during timer charging

Part Number: BQ24105-Q1

Hi TI-team

My customer have a question.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/878189

About No.4 in the above URL.

Are the following two recognitions correct ?

・ Detects temperature failure during charging

⇒Charging is suspended, but if the temperature returns to normal, the timer will restart from the state before suspension.

・ When the engine is turned off while charging

⇒The timer is reset, and after restarting the engine, the timer starts counting from 0 again.

Best Regards,

Koji Hayashi

  • Dear Koji,

    1. On page 12 of the datasheet, it says that in a TS fault charge is suspended and the timer is held at its value.

    2. On page 14 of the datasheet, it says that a new charge cycle (and new timer) is started upon POR.

    Thanks,

    Mike Emanuel
