Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS610985
If I operate the unit at 3V or below, the TPS610985 will drop the output to approximately 2V anytime the Piezo is activated. So, if the TPS610985 is operated in the boost mode it cannot handle the current spike when the piezo is activated. If the input is increased so that the TPS610985 is in switch mode just allowing the input to pass through, the output voltage will only have a small dip. This drop in output will sometimes cause the microprocessor to reset. Is there something that can be done to get the TPS610985 to hold the 3V output during the 50mA-60mA spike when the Piezo is activated?
If there is anything I can change on the EVM to see this like like the inductor and R2 to 2.2uH and 0.39 ohms respectively that would be great, any advise you can provide here is much appreciated.
If there is a better device for this please let me know,
