LM5010A: How can i use NC pins in 14-Pin HTSSOP?

Part Number: LM5010A

Hello. The pin layout is extremely inconvenient in the 14-pin package, and I would like to use unused pins as duplicates. DS says that i can connect NC pins to ground plane to improve heat dissipation. But can i connect NC pins to other pins? Let's say like in this picture? I understand, that NC means no connection to chip inside but just want make sure that anyway this NC pins providing sufficient isolation from chip inside and from each other. Thanks!

  • Let me get in contact with a dedicated Application and System Engineer to this device.

I need to confirm if there is any physical connection to these pin inside the die.

I will get back to you soon.

    Thanks!

  • Hello Vasiliy,

NC pins are unbonded, there shouldn’t be anything “bad” about connecting them like that.

Maybe there’d be more feedback noise, the general recommendation is to connect all the NC pins to the EP/ GND copper pour.

But we don't expect anything bad if you connect otherwise.

    I hope this helps!
