TPS2511: What is the max leakage current of the CSn input pin?

Hi team,

my customer would like to know what the max leakage current is on the CSn input pin (pin 4) using the TPS2511DGNR. they would like to tie a feedback resistor directly to this pin. would this be an issue?

Hello Kevin,

The CS pin is a open drain output not an input. So by design, you need to connect a pullup resistor to indicate when an event has occurred

As far as the leakage current, do not have have information, but it is also contingent on the size of pullup resistor you use.

Hi Adam,

Thanks. I apologize for the confusion. I believe when the customer mentioned "feedback resistor" it was to path the CS pin current to another device rather than into the CS pin.

can you check with the designers on what the max leakage current is for a given condition you/they deem fit?

Kevin,

But that CS pin does not provide any power so you cannot redirect the current.

We do not have this measurement because once again, this current measurement is dependent on the pull-up resistor you have connected.
