LMG5200: GaN for buck converter and FPGA

Hi Team,

A customer would like to use LMG5200 for a buck converter with the following specifications.

Input: 16-36 VDC
Output: 1.1V at 10 A, 1.5V/6A, 3.3V/6A.

Do we have reference design for a similar applications using FPGA as controller?

Hello Danilo,

For buck converter application, the LMG5200 EVM could be a good starting point. https://www.ti.com/tool/LMG5200EVM-02
For such a low output voltage, some topologies such as half bridge with current doubler can be considered.
We have a reference design here: https://www.ti.com/tool/LMG5200POLEVM-10 which uses TPS53632G controller through I2C.
Here's another modification to the above reference design with lower input range: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP22089

However, I did not see a reference design matches the customer spec exactly. Customer could start with these and do the necessary modifications.
