TPS2412: Question about application note SLUA486, High-Voltage ORing with Low-Voltage Controllers

Hello,

I'm quite disapointed regarding the application note SLUA486 titled "High-Voltage ORing with Low-Voltage Controllers"

The schematic in this document use Si3442 Mosfet for Q5 and Q6, it is a 20V/5A mosfet.

Suppose PS1 go to 0V and PS2 supply 48V : the voltage accros Q5 is greater than 20V and the mosfet will blow-up and current will flow throught D2...

correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes Vds of Q5 and Q6 should be rated same as Q1 and Q2.

Current capability of 5A is not needed, it can be small, signal MOSET with <500mA capability.

We will revise the application note and update it.
