UCD9080: Confirmation of programming

Part Number: UCD9080

I have an XP laptop with UCD9080 Power supply sequencer EVM tools installed.

I want to use it to program a UCD9080 device on a PCB that when installed will be difficult to access.

I have a .par file to , when I select the “Update Status and Sequence Button” , how do I know when and if the program successfully installed? I was expecting something like "programming successful" or some positive indication the device was programmed.

What I see on the GUI is the I2C Statistics window, when I start is I2C Write = 0, I2C Read is incrementing and I2C Nack =0   Does this indicate that the GUI is communicating with the target device?

After I select the Update parameters button, the I2C Statistics window shows I2C Write =47, I2C Read is at 389 and incrementing , I2C Nack is at 1.

I can repeat this step several times and it looks like the number of writes increments by 47 each time. Depending on the size of the .PAR file does the number of writes vary as well?

Is this repeatability in the number of writes an indicator that programming was completed ?

Is there a check sum value or other indication that the device is actually programmed?

  • Hi

if the update fails, GUI will pop up a warning to notify application otherwise it is good.

GUI can save the configuration as hex file(pure data from internal memory), you can compare the hex file before and after.

Also does the device function as what you expected after programming?

    Regards
