We have this design which we are using the BQ2000T to charge a NiMh battery and in some specific situations, we need to turn the battery charger off even though we have the battery and the external power supply connected. In order to achieve that we are bypassing the TS pin with a signal coming from the MCU (BAT_CHD_EN) as follows:
I would like to know if this is a known solution of is there a better option to achieve this?
If there is not any other feasible solution is there any other recommended PN already with a built-in control pin?
