CSD17307Q5A: Output of CSD17307Q5A drian

Part Number: CSD17307Q5A

HI,

The drain of CSD17307Q5A  output is upward overshoot when the MOSFET from trun on to trun off, then it will fall slowly.I wonder to know what caused  it,can anybody tell me?

In figure 1 the yellow waveform is the output of drain, figure 2 is zoomed out.

   Many t hanks.

  • Hi Suy,

Thanks for your interest in TI FETs. Without knowing more details about your application and operating conditions, I can't tell you why the voltage at the drain overshoots and then takes a long time to come back down to the starting voltage. I am going to send you a friend request which will allow us to communicate on a non-public forum.

  • Hi John,

Please look at the picture below. My design is as follows:

Is overshoot voltage caused by MOSFET parasitic capacitance(Cgs&Cds)?

Another question,When the MOSFET turns on and the drain current is very large, the falling edge is very slow, resulting in a much shorter emitting time of LD than the gate drive signal,do you have any good dSuggestions to improve it?(fiure 2)

The red is the voltage of drain, the green is the drive signal of gate.

  • Hi Suy,

I tried simulating this but I'm not getting quite the same results as your simulation and actual circuit waveforms. I would like to continue this discussion on regular email. I will close this thread and send you an email.

  • Hi John,

Ok, I have send the e-mail adress to you in private message.

       Many thanks.
