UC3875: Question about datasheet (Drivers)

Part Number: UC3875

Hello TI!
I got simple question about UC3875 DS. There is a parameter called "Output high(low) level" in output drivers section. What does this 2.6V means? Is it voltage drop on internal bipolar transistor or what? Thank you!

Regards,

Vasiliy.

  • Hello Vasiliy,

Thank you for your interest in the UC3875 PSFB controller.

Yes, the 2.6V figure is the maximum voltage drop across the output transistor when loaded with the test current shown (Iout = 500mA).
This is the maximum value to be expected under all specified operating conditions including min to max junction temperature.

Under most usual conditions, you are more likely to see the typical values rather than the maximum.

    Regards,
    Ulrich
