Single cell lithium ion Battery charger with more than 8A

Hi,

Looking for single cell lithium ion Battery charger with more than 8A and the IC should not have any external components like mosfets etc .

Example: Please suggest a 8A Battery ic similar to BQ25895 IC (this supports only 5A)without any external mosfets.

    Hi Satish,

    TI does not have an integrated FET charger capable of 8A.  You can to parallel 2 integrated FET chargers, like BQ2589X family or one charger like the newly released BQ25790 5A charger and BQ25898C 3A charger to reach 8A. With the current FET technology, balancing FET size with gate charge and RDSon for high efficiency/low losses/low heat, it is not feasible for us to make such a charger.
