LM2705: Output ripple voltage

Part Number: LM2705

The datasheet SNVS191F –NOVEMBER 2002–REVISED OCTOBER 2016 - shows a graph on output ripple: Figure 15. Output Ripple Voltage Copt, Ropt Included.

What are Copt and Ropt? I can't seem to be able to find any other references in the datasheet or the eval board datasheet.

I'm assuming Copt could be the 4.7pF cap across RF1, feed-forward cap improves transient response and lowers ripple, but which one is Ropt and what would be the values?

Thank you!

  • Hi Vard,

The datasheet didn't say the meaning of Copt and Ropt. I didn't find it as well. Sorry for that.

If you are looking for a boost converter, actually TI has a lot of new developed boost converters TPS61XXX which have lower Rdson, higher switching frequency, efficiency and smaller package.
