TPS53316: Low dropout operation of TPS53316

Hi Team

We are planning to use TPS53316 for generating 3.7 v@5Amp. Do you feel there could be concern at low dropout operations of this switcher .

Because as per datasheet " VVBST and VSW to be higher than 2.4 V to ensure the supply for high-side gate driver."

Please let us know if we need to include any additional circuit for acheiving low dropout operation.

Actually got stuck in other baords design. During initial booting (few sec) when current may be less tha 20 mA how i can ensure that device doesn't face issue. Do you have any workaround this .

Hello Abhishek,

The only workaround you may use is either to program the device in Forced Conduction Mode or increase current at startup.

This is a limitation from HEF and DE mode.
