TPS54061: Start-up time

Hello,

My customer is designing a product with TPS54061 and facing a problem for its start-up time.

Now the start-up time is about 10msec with VOUT=5V and COUT=10uF condition while the datasheet says that TYP start up time is 2.7msec.

When they tested with removing the load, the start-up time became faster. So they think this long start-up time would be due to the current limit at start-up.

Then they have 2 questions.

1. Do we have any pin-to-pin compatible device which current limit is higher than TPS54061?

2. Is there any way to reduce the start-up time?

Hi:

we don't have P2P device , higher current device we have LMR36510/LMR36520 as new generation or you can use LMR16006.

if you can use a load switch to control the load on and off, keep TPS54061 raise up with no load, it may help on it.

I understand we don't have any P2P device.

The problem here is that they can't change the board layout from now.
They basically can change only resistance or capacitance values.
Isn't there any way to adjust start-up time?

I don't have good idea to short the start up time with loading on the chip.
