TPS61252: Quiescent current when switching 5Vout and 27uA output loading

Hi sir,

May I know the quiescent current when the converter is switching in 5Vout/27uA output loading?

What does "device not switching" in datasheet mean? Does it mean enable is high but operate in very low switching frequency because of no load with PFM?

Hi Sir,

The quiescent current definition is when the device is not switching, current drawn into Vin or Vout pin.

By applying a voltage at FB pin higher than reference voltage, the device will not switch.

Hi Sir,

The quiescent current is defined as the current drawn by the IC in a no-load and nonswitching but enabled condition.

I think you want to know the input currnet at 5Vout/27uA Io condition. You can refer this application note to calculate the input current: www.ti.com/.../slva828.pdf

Do we have definition for Iq_in and Iq_out?

In below, Iq(quiescent current) 30uA stands for Iq_in, and reverse leakage current into Vout 3.5uA stands for Iq_out?

Hi,

30uA IQ(Quiescent current) stands for Iq_in.

Reverse leakage current doesn't mean Iq_out. It means the leakage current flowing into Vout pin when there is a pre-biased voltage applied at Vout pin.
