TPS650860EVM-116: Feed Back line under the inductor

Part Number: TPS650860EVM-116

Hi support team,
I have a question about "SLVUAJ9".

Figure-11, Page-14

The FB line passes under L2.
Is it better not to pass the FB line under the inductor to reduce the magnetic influence of the inductor?

Regards,
Dice-K

  • Hello,

You are correct - it would have been better implemented by routing the FB in a wider path around the inductor to minimize the EMI caused by the inductor.

There are a lot of extra signals on the EVM Signal Layer due to needing to route all the GPOs and CTLx signals into the upper left corner. If these were removed, it would make sense to move the FB paths up and to the right, away from L2.
