TPS62135: the jitter spec about tps62135

Part Number: TPS62135

Hello team,

Customer is using tps62135, and we set it to PWM mode. But currently we found the jitter is very big with static load, such as it is 16% with 0.5A load.

DCS mode is one on- time control mode, I am not sure whether we have jitter spec about this part? if no, so whether 16% is ok or not here?

Thanks,

Antony

  • Antony,

I did not find any jitter spec on this device so it is hard to comment on whether 16% is expected or not. What is the VIN and VOUT for the measurement? Is the MODE pin tied high or low? Are you observing any changes with different load currents? Using a resistive load vs electronic load can also yield different results. Is there a persistence scope shot of your measurement available?

    Thanks,

    Amod

  • Hi Amod,

The Vin is 12V, and Vout is 5V.

Currently the MODE pin tied to high level, the jitter is big too even without any load, and customer is using electronic load to test jitter.

Customer only can choose persistence on or off, no other option is available.

    Thanks and Best Regards,

    Antony Fu

  • Hi Antony,

Is it possible to share design schematic and layout? Also can you try checking the jitter again with a resistive load?

    Thanks,

    Amod
