UCC2805-Q1: To clarify the behavior of Pin 4 and Pin 6

Hi Expert,

The engineer is using the UCC2805-Q1.

Pls help to clarify the question about frequency behavior.

They are setting 100kHz from (10k +1000pF) on RC pin.

The results is 100khz on output pin and 200khz on RC pin.

Pls advice why 2x frequency on RC pin was observed.

Hi,

This family has two options - one is with max 50% duty, and the other is with 100%. For 100% max duty devices, they need twice of those with 50% max duty. So a simple way is to generate two clocks and using one clock for those 50% max duty and using two clocks for those with 100% max duty.
