TPSM84A21: Layout suggestion about the AGND pin

My question is why the AGND pin need such a large area of copper.

Is it for heat dissipation?

This large AGND copper area is not required. You can connect it to the RSET resistor (R1) with just a trace.

Extending the PGND copper to this area would most likely help more with thermal performance than AGND.
