TPS54424RNV,TPS568215RNNR switching regulators are designed as shown in the picture above. The enable pin of the ic's are driven from open drain enable output of a sequencer. I would like to confirm whether the devices will perform properly and all the discrete components connected to different pins will ensure the best performance of the IC

What is your application input voltage and max output loading? What is the end equipment? Which performance do you care most?

Hi ,

For input voltage 12V or 5V is used for both TPS54424 and TPS568215 part. 5V is used mostly.

Max output loading for TPS54424 is 3.5A and for TPS568215 is 8A.

The end equipment is a test board.

we don't have cost, layout real estate constraints. We care about the stability of the design.

The enable input of the switchers are driven from the open drain enable output of a sequencer( ADM1186-1ARQZ)

Hi Dhivya,

For TPS54424, using 3.3uH inductor should be better.

For TPS568215, using 0.68uH inductor should be better. For feedforward cap, C167, NC first and keep the space.

For the EN configuration, is the simplified block below correct? Actually, if you already use two resistor from Vin to EN to GND, as TPS568215 datasheet section 7.3.6 shows, there is no need to use other input to EN pin.
