Hi team,
My customer would like to know could we apply a voltage on output when IC is disabled with EN=LOW ? From my perspective it's okay if Vout< Vin and within 20V maximum output rating. Is there any other considerations?
Thanks,
Scarlett

Hi Scarlett,
Yes, you can provide a voltage on the output of the IC with EN=LO as long as the Absolute Maximum Ratings on the SW and FB pins are not violated, and as long as Vout<Vin. If Vout>Vin then a path from Vout to Vin is formed through the forward biased body diode of the high side MOSFET which could result in damage to the device or to the power supply.
Hope this helps.
