LP87524-Q1: the output voltage before I2C configure?

Part Number: LP87524-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243, , TIDEP-01012

Hello team

I plan to choose LP87524 to supply AWR2243(1.0V/1.8V/1.2V/3.3V), because I need to use MCU to configure the register of LP87524 through I2C interface before supply 2243. it will take 5ms(include MCU boot), i want to know the default output before configure? 2. I2C device address of all LP87524 is 0x60? that means I don't connect I2C together if I use several pcs LP87524, is it right?

    thanks!

  • Simon,

The LP87524-Q1 is used to power AWR2243 in the TIDEP-01012 reference design.

I am not sure if there is a way to resolve I2C address conflicts using multiple LP87524-Q1 PMICs, but the reference design shows they are connected to two (2) different I2C buses: PMIC1_I2C and PMIC2_I2C. It appears that this reference design requires an MCU with multiple I2C channels, or that you program GPIOs to "bit-bang" I2C so you can communicate with 2 PMICs that both have device address 0x60.

The experts for this device have been assigned to this question, but they are based in Europe and may not provide a follow-up response until Monday.

  • Hello Simon,

Please take a look at the TRM for details on the setup:
