Hello. Tell me what will be at the output and how the bq24030 circuit will behave if Vbat> = Vac (example Vac = 3.9V, Vbat = 4V)
Hi Anton,
This will depend on the DPPM set point that is configured for the device. If the device output were to fall in below the programed set point due to the input being low, the battery charge current is reduced to maintain the output voltage. If the charge current reduces to 0 A and the output voltage still is below the preset value, then the battery will begin to supplement the current to the output. You can find more in sections in the datasheet listed as "Dynamic Power-Path Management (DPPM)"
Voltage Ubat = 4 V, voltage Uac = 3.6 V, Voltage 3.3 V is set on the dppm. Will the microcircuit go into standby mode under such conditions, and what voltage wil be on Uout?
Hi Anton,
We do recommend the supply voltage for the BQ24030 to be a minimum 4.35V. At 3.6V, the BQ24030 Q1 acts as a switch and you will not see 6V at the output until goes above 6V. If the output begins dropping due to a high current load on the output, the device will attempt to keep the device at 3.3V as you've set on the DPPM pin.
Hello, what will happen to the battery if the AC and usb power is not supplied to the bq24030 and there is a load on the out. Battery without internal protection.
