CSD95496QVM: Choose Inductor and Output Caps

Part Number: CSD95496QVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS53681, CSD95491Q5MC,

Hi E2E team,

We are using a TPS53681 in 2+1 mode:

  • Loop1: 2 phases: CSD95491Q5MC
  • Loop2: 1 Phase: CSD95496QVM

Loop1: Vout: 0.9V/40A max non transient requierement,  Voltage Tol +/-5%

Loop2: Vout: 1.8V/8A max non transient requierement,  Voltage Tol +/-5%

I have some difficulties to choose theInductor and number of Output Caps for each phase, Could you advise us ?

 Regarding the Inductance, I used this: equation below from TPS53681 datasheet

In my case:

LOOP1:

Ipp: (40/2)*0.3=6A

Vin (max)=12

Vout=0.9

FSW: 600Khz

  • L=231nH (250nH is chosen)

LOOP2:

Ipp: (8/1)*0.3=2.1A

Vin (max)=12

Vout=1.8

FSW: 600Khz

  • L=1.214uH (I don’t know if I can use this value)

Best Regards

Sebastien
