UCC1895: Problems with the SS/DISB waveforms

Part Number: UCC1895

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer are having issues with the UCC1895. The outputs, which should be complementary to each other, are not working properly. I have attached the schematics he is using with the protoboard, and also the waveforms he is getting from the circuit.

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Art,

I have assigned the post to the device expert, please allow the delay until Jan.4th. We will reply to you when we are back from holiday.

    thanks.

  • Hello,

I think the issue is an your open loop circuit you are feeding the ramp signal to the CT pin.   This is causing the device to think it is hitting peak current limit and immediately shuts down thinking it has it and over current.

Try dividing the ramp signal will with a resistor divider to the CT pin.  This should stop the cycle by cycle current limit from tripping.

    Regards,
