UCC27212: Question about UVLO

Genius 15770 points
Part Number: UCC27212

Hello,

Our customer has some questions about UCC27212.

1.
When UVLO condition occurs for either VDD or HB, does it recover after removing UVLO condition?
Or is it latched off?

2.
The below figures about UVLO come from page 11 of the datasheet.

But both Threshold and Hysteresis data of both VDD and HB in these figures are completely different from the values in the below table on the datasheet.
Which is correct?

Regards,
Oba

  • Hello,

    I have one additional question.
For both UVLOs, does UCC27212 have a deglitch filter or a certain delay for both UVLOs?
Or does it switch off immediately after UVLOs condition?

    Regards,
    Oba

  • Hello Oba,

Thank you for supporting the UCC27212 with your customer. For the UVLO thresholds and hysteresis, the data in the parameter table is correct for the UVLO thresholds. I will reach out and confirm the data in the typical curves, but it looks like this information may not have been updated for the UCC27212 device.

For the additional question, there is some delay in the UVLO response which will serve as a deglitch function. There is ~2us delay in the UVLO response after the threshold(s) are satisficed.

Confirm if this addresses your questions, or you can post additional questions on this thread.

    Regards,

  • Hello Richard,

    Thanks for your reply.

Could you also answer to my question 1?

    Regards,
    Satoshi Obata

  • Hello Satoshi,

I should have been a little more clear on the initial response. The driver UVLO is satisfied when the VDD or HB-HS exceeds the UVLO thresholds, there is not a latch off function regarding enabling the driver when the VDD or HB-HS crosses the UVLO thresholds.

There is a delay of ~2us from the VDD or HB UVLO crossing the threshold to the driver being enabled on the rising VDD/HB and disabled during the falling VDD/HB.

    Regards,
