Hi,

I would like to use TI MOSFET's for my 12V, 3A reverse supply protection application. I don't have too much space on my PCB so if possible please suggest the smallest part numbers for it.

    Hi Ali,

    Thanks for your interest in TI FETs. I'm not sure of your circuit configuration. If the FET is used on the low side, then you should have no problem driving it. However, if the FET is on the high side, then you will need to provide a gate voltage higher than the input voltage. The CSD16301Q2 on resistance is rated down to a minimum VGS = 3V which means you will need to provide at least 15V to ensure that the FET is on. Another alternative in the 2x2mm package is CSD17318Q2 which has a little lower on resistance and is rated for 30V. We have a smaller device which may work, CSD17585F5, that has a minimum VGS = 4.5V.
