Hi. Help me please to understand why LM25118 isn't working in buck-boost mode. While Vin=24V, required Vout=12V / Iout=2.5A, LM25118 is working in buck mode correctly. But when Vin=10..12V, required Vout=12V / Iout=2.5A, I'm having Vout~<8.5V, Vfb~0.8V. I have tried to change values of external components, add more in/output capacitors, turn off UVLO, but unsuccessfully. Please check my scheme.
Hello Evgenii,
Could you please measure the FB voltage again with reference to the AGND pin of the IC?
Do you already have load on the output? If yes, please check without load.
Hello Evgenii,
Are you using a 2 layer board or are there more GND layers in the middle? I am asking because with 2 layers, the GND connection is relatively long, especially for the low side transistor on the boost side.
Can you please check at which load the output voltage starts to drop? Please as well compare the real output voltage with the calculated value from the feedback resistors. Is there already a difference at no load?
Hello Brigitte,
I have changed the components on SS, RAMP, RT, COMP and it has worked correctly.
