LM350A: Need to generate 125mA load current

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer is using LM350A on their design. They have a 12V source and load with resistance of 80ohms. They need to generate current with this load at 125mA. How can they achieve this?

When they increase Vin to 15-16V, device can generate 125mA but not at 12V source. Any alternative part is welcome too.

Hi Art,

Are you using the same power supply for both input voltages? Your power supply could be limited by the amount of current it can provide.

The LM350 is capable of generating 300mA.

Hi Art,

I have looked further into this, and it seems like you are operating outside of the Recommended Operating Conditions.

Outside a 3V Vin-Vout differential, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the output voltage.

Because the part is an older model, we would recommend going to a new part.

Potentially the TPS7A24 (TPS7A25 or TPS7A26 for more current)
