TPS22941: What is the current value in constant current mode?

Hi team,

For tps22941/2/3/4/5, If current exceed the limit current, they will enter into constant current mode. However I can't see the current value in constant current mode. So what is the current value in constant current value?

Hi Gust,

Section 5 in the device datasheet describe the different current limits and responses of these devices.

Hi Dmello,

You mean the current value is the limited current in constant current mode? If the current is over limited current, the current will be keep the limited value. Is my understanding is correct?

Hi Gust,

Yes in an overcurrent event, the device will try to limit the current to the predetermined current limits to protect the downstream load. Please reference the feature description section on the datasheet to learn more about this limiting behavior.
