TPS2121: Max I_Limite setting

Hi Team,

Have a question on I_Limte setting:

From the Datesheet, we could know that we could get I_limte=5.2A when Rlimte=18.7kohm.

But we could like to check whether Rlimite could be set lower than 18kohm to get larger I_limite?

and what's the max value current that could pass through the internal FET? I Could not get the value from DS.

    Hi Brandon,

    We spec TPS2121 for a max DC current of 4.5A.

    A higher current limit that 4.5A is only for situations where the full working range of the FET is required and only a high current event is meant to trigger the CL. We do not recommend setting the current limit higher that 5.2A and we do not spec the limit for values lower than 18.2kOmh. As you can see from the datasheet, lower values like 1kOhm will cause the device to default to a lower CL state.
