UCC27531-Q1: UCC27531-Q1 replace

Part Number: UCC27531-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27531, TDC1000

I am currently powering VDD at 30V and everything works well, input max is 5v

I want to look for a new IC which has similar function/footprint as this UCC27531 but has higher voltage VDD input. (around 45 - 50v)

  • Hello,

We do not currently have a low side driver with VDD range beyond 35V in our portfolio.

Most gate drive topologies will typically not require gate drive voltage beyond 25V-28V in the case of the SiC or IGBTs assuming bipolar supply for negative turn-off.

  • Hi Mamadou,

Thank you very much for answering.

The current design with UCC27531 is

    VDD - 30V

IN - TX signal from TDC1000, 665Khz (peak is 5v)

    EN is connected to IN

OUTH is connected to a ultrasonic transmitter (tx pin)

So basically it 'pull up' the signal voltage peak to 30v now

May i know if have any other amplifier IC can achieve this , with this frequency?

    Thank you for your help!

  • Hello,

Keep in mind our drivers are typically intended to drive capacitive loads such as MOSFETs.

You may check with the amplifier team by posting a separate thread with details of applications.

Meanwhile, I will mark this thread as "resolved".

But please let us know if you have additional gate drivers questions.

    Thanks.
