Does the integrated circuit have an reverse battery voltage protection? So, what will be observed in OUT pin when battery is reversely put into this IC BATT pin?

Hi,
Welcome to E2E!
The Absolute Maximum Rating for the BAT pin is -0.3 V to 7V. Normally, a protection circuit will be applied on the battery side to combat this issue.
Hi,
There are protections to the battery. There is short circuit and reverse current protection in the IC.

Hi,
The device has an ABS max of -0.3 to 7V on the BAT pin as previously mentioned. There is no guarantee that the device will be functionally operational outside of datasheet recommend specifications if a voltage outside of this range is applied.
