TI performs the ASTM E595 testing process to ensure the material meets the Total Mass Loss (TML) and the Collected Volatile Condensable Materials (CVCM) requirements established by NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA). During ASTM E595 testing, a material is placed in a thermal vacuum chamber and exposed to a 125°C temperatures and vacuum force up to 5 x 10-5 torr. After a 24-hour outgas exposure, the test units are then weighed to determine mass loss, and the percentage of the volatile effluents that were collected during testing.
The test results of the ASTM E595 testing are documented Production Flow and Reliability Report for the respective device in the outgas test report section of the document. These documents are available in the “Technical Documentation” section of the respective product folders on TI.com.
