Hello,

I am designing a Power Mux solution for a 12V - 3.5A system. I would have liked to use the TPS2121 but this part is out of stock, with huge delays.

My question is : can I use the TPS2120 which is theorically limited to 3A for a 3.5A application, knowing that my board is in a controlled environement with heavy cooloing air flows.

Hi Hugo,

Unfortunately, we do not recommend using TPS2120 in DC applications that require more than 3A.

We cannot guarantee operation and datasheet compliance if used outside the rating.
