BQ28550 initial remaining capacity error

Everytime i first attach a battery to the EVM, i need to apply power to the pack terminals to stop the shut down mode. Then the bqEvaluation software always show the remaining SOC is 5% or less. Why? it should be 100% right/?

After attaching a cell to the device, you could issue a reset command to ensure the gauges returned capacity is correct. Did you properly configure your data flash parameters?

Actually after i press the reset button, nothing happens.

I think I have updated the flash parameters correctly. According to the notes, after reset the capacity should be Qmax right?

By reset, I meant issuing a reset command. Are you using the Compensated EDV functionality or just the EDV. Did you select the correct chem id for your cells?

I will try the reset command but what does the reset button do?

i'm using bq28550's EVM.

And I am using the default chemistry which is ID0100 i think. And i am using CEDV functionality.

Meanwhile, i have already set the parameters like full capacity, design capacity, energy, etc.

That button is there to wake the device up from shutdown mode.
