TPS65145RGF(TPS65145) - abnormal condition(Vout short)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DLP4500

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPS65145RGF?

Please refer to the following attachment file(TPS65145RGF).
2046.20160705_TPS65145PWP_Reference.pdf

If Vout(8.5V) is shorted(abnormal condition), is there a possibility to break the Q2(FET between SW and SUP) on the datasheet P7?
If you know above, could you let us know?

We appreciate for your help.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hello Hirotaka Matsumoto,

I cannot read the pdf- file, there must went something wrong with the upload. Could you please attach the pdf file once more?

Regarding your question about short-circuit condition:
This device integrates a overvoltage and undervoltage protection feature. If any of the outputs fall below a threshold voltage (typical 8.75% of VO1) then the device will shut down to prevent damage. Chapter 7.3.8 describes this feature in more detail.

Why do you short the output voltage? Does this belong to some qualification measurements? Can you describe the application in more detail?

    Thank you.
    Best Regards,
    Ilona

    Thank you for your reply!
We updated the file again. Could  you show it?

Why do you short the output voltage?
->This is only abnormal condition.(Our customer doesn't intend to do this.)

Does this belong to some qualification measurements?
    ->It is not qualification measurements.

Can you describe the application in more detail?
->Application is Light Crafer with DLP4500

    Kind regards,
