BQ25700A: Shipping mode

Hi,

Does BQ25700A can support shipping mode?

I saw the BQ25700A datasheet P37, 30h bit 1 have some description for shipping mode discharge function,

but I can't find any shipping mode function detail in datasheet.

BQ25700A used BATDRV pin to control external MOSFET, seems VSYS always have voltage level via battery MOSFET body diode.

So it seems hard to avoid battery current provide to VSYS.

    Hi Jeff,

    For shipping mode support. our charger should co work with battery pack internal gauge.

    If customer would like to force system enter shipping mode, they should also send command to gas gauge to turn off back-to-back MOSFET in battery pack.

    BQ25700A's shipping mode feature will help to discharge residue voltage in battery connector side in case this residue voltage cause gas gauge turn on MOSFET again.
