Dear All:

In the BQ79606 application , I have two questions

1. I want to know what can cause the result if i can't connect the daisy chain fault connection between High stack device and low stack device？

2 . What is this SPI master interface used for ？

Hello,

1.Fault daisy chain is optional. bq79606 claims ASIL D without fault daisy chain implementation. In active mode, fault daisy chain will provide OV/UV/OT/UT

monitoring in parallel with main ADC; In sleep mode, fault daisy chain will also provide OV/UV/OT/UT monitoring in the absence of main ADC.

2.You can use SPI to expand external memory or any other SPI slave device.

can i open six channels balance at the same time or at most open half of all channel at the same time？

Hi Bill,

You can not open 6 channels balance at the same time-

With auto mode, internal balancing switch works at odd/even switching mode;

With manual mode, HW prohibits adjacent balancing switch on at the same time.

Hi Bill,

Then you should use two bq79606, each 606 covers

4 cells.

this solution is too expensive, I want use the BQ79606 add a dual amplifier to implement this 8s BMS function.
