BQ77915: Accuracy of OV and UV recovery voltage

Part Number: BQ77915

Hi TI experts,

Could you provide BQ7791500 accuracy of OV and UV recovery voltage?  Page 7 table is look like all series of BQ77915, I want to know the BQ7791500. Typical value  maybe 4200-200=4000mV. How about maximum and minimum?

  • hi,
Thank you for your question. Our team will answer it when they return to the office.
  • Hi,

I'm not sure I completely understand the question. The datasheet does state the min/max detection accuracy for OV and UV. For example, the OV detection accuracy is within +/-10mV. The recovery voltage accuracy will be the same (+/- 10mV).

So for the BQ7791500, the OV detection threshold is 4200mV, so at 25C, it will be between 4190mV and 4210mV. The recovery voltage is 4200mV - 200mV = 4000mV. This voltage will be between 3990mV and 4010mV.

Keep in mind that the recovery is not only dependent on voltage but also the OV delay time. This device also uses filtered fault detection (See Figure 11 in the datasheet for more details), so it will not change the state of the fault until it reaches the required sample count.

    Best regards,
    Matt
